Positano is an explosion of vibrant colors, of bougainvillea blooming on the terraces and of sunsets that transform the coastline into a shimmering canvas. Hotel Villa Franca is located at the most panoramic point of this “pearl” of the Amalfi Coast. To us, Villa Franca evoked the intimate atmosphere of the Mediterranean night, elegant and mysterious, that moment of day when the lights of the houses reflect on the sea and the city seems wrapped in a dark, precious cloak.
It is precisely from this inspiration that the uniform project was born: a wardrobe that chose absolute black as its protagonist, not an anonymous color, but a statement of style. Black like the depths of the sea at night, like the silent streets lit by lanterns, like the rigor of an elegance that needs no embellishments to assert itself. It is a dramatic and uncompromising color, for a look that conveys strength and charisma.
The uniforms are designed with rigorous, elongated lines and a clean cut. The garments are structured, with proportions that slim and define the figure. Each piece, including the waiter and bartender uniform, exudes an almost sculptural strength, designed to give the staff an authoritative and refined bearing. The sober color palette is interrupted only by small sartorial details: meticulous stitching, thin lapels and discreet accessories. The overall vision evokes a couture attitude, highlighting the uniforms as if they were a fashion item, where minimal simplicity is combined with theatrical elegance, making the staff an integral part of the glamorous coastal spectacle.
What remains of this project is the reference to a nocturnal elegance, absolute and silent, yet capable of preserving the Mediterranean soul of the place. With these uniforms, Maurel aimed to transform Villa Franca into a wearable expression to reveal to its guests.
