When we think of Milan, our minds inevitably turn to fashion and design. The rhythm of its streets, the architecture blending history and modernity and the light filtering through the windows of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele are all ingredients that make this metropolis so inspiring. Located inside the iconic Galleria next to Piazza Duomo, the Park Hyatt hotel is the epitome of metropolitan elegance, combining the city’s sobriety with its creative and cosmopolitan spirit and interpreting the fashion capital through the lens of luxury hospitality.
It is thanks to this strong character that we were able to create a refined and timeless palette. The main color is midnight blue, solemn and elegant, typical of the Milanese tailoring tradition, which is paired with luminous ivory to lend a touch of balance and lightness. The resulting contrast lends authority and refinement to the garments, making them particularly elegant and sophisticated.
The uniforms, particularly the waiter uniforms and bartender uniforms, feature simple, modern lines designed to ensure both functionality and fashion appeal. Furthermore, we selected lightweight, comfortable fabrics to further facilitate those working in the hotel’s dynamic spaces. The collection features wrap-around jackets and sleek silhouettes that reflect the aesthetic rigor of Italian fashion. Some pieces are enriched with bold graphic details, such as blue brushstrokes flowing across the fabric: iconic designs that transform the uniform into a couture piece, perfectly consistent with the spirit of Milan.
The hotel’s metropolitan elegance is reflected in its understated uniforms. In this project, Maurel has recreated the rare balance between Milanese rigor and creativity, expressing the style and hospitality that are intrinsic to Milan, the Park Hyatt and its guests.
