At Borgo dei Conti Resort, nestled in the countryside near Perugia, the memory we hold is that of a noble village speaking of ancient nobility, Gothic walls, and blossoming courtyards, reimagined with contemporary sensitivity. At the heart of the resort is the landscape setting the rhythm: centuries-old olive trees, oaks, and a 16-hectare park where green becomes a living expression of the land. The rooms, between the historic Villa and the eighteenth-century Colonica, offer panoramic views, interiors that combine wooden sideboards, artisan tiles, and art deco finishes – a visual dialogue between Umbrian Renaissance painting and the lightness of modern design.
The inspiration for the Borgo dei Conti uniforms stems from this very interplay: we chose rich tones such as patterned mid-blue for the receptionists and a soft sage green with antique beige accents for the waitstaff – colors evoking the tapestries and decorated interiors of the village. Materials include custom jacquard fabrics created by local ateliers, soft yet structured textiles to add presence, understated buttons, and details recalling ancient crests. Refined grisailles are combined with natural linens. The lines are elegant yet practical: lightweight jackets, dresses, and shirts that allow freedom of movement while maintaining a classy posture.
Umbrian elegance, the protagonist of this project, goes beyond the visual: it is an experience of time, a memory of authentic hospitality, a refined yet familiar atmosphere.
