Nestled in this fairytale setting, L’Auberge de la Maison leaves its guests with the memory of an intimate welcome, created by a blend of authentic details that recount Alpine life: snow glistening in the sun, smoking wooden huts, green meadows traversed by horses, starry nights illuminated by the profile of Mont Blanc.
This visual and emotional heritage has become the heart of the project. The custom exclusively created patterns (like those on the skirts of the waitresses’ uniforms) depict chalets, forests, and Alpine animals: not simply decorations, but a narrative language that turns the uniform into a wearable tale. Each piece, the result of a true collaboration with the customer, thus becomes a page in the Auberge de la Maison’s travel diary, recreating the magic of the Alps for those who wear them and those who observe them.
The lines recall traditional mountain costumes, but are lightened and tailored to the point of almost couture-like elegance. The forest green of the bodices, the snow-white of the skirts, and the natural fabrics evoke the strength and purity of the Alpine landscape. The loose, flowing silhouettes convey comfort and movement, without sacrificing a refined poise. Every detail, from the discreet buttons to the meticulous stitching, has been carefully considered to maintain a balance between style and comfort, ensuring perfect harmony with the intimate and refined atmosphere of Courmayeur.
This project becomes a wearable Alpine poetry; a poetry articulated through prints, fabrics, and details that express nature and tradition. With these uniforms, Maurel has embraced the soul of Courmayeur and transformed it into an art that belongs to the mountains, the hotel, and the guests who call it home, even if only for a few days.
